On January 8, 2026, we signed a partnership agreement with the Dutch Queer Museum Foundation, which is preparing the opening of the first queer museum in Amsterdam. The foundation plans to open in 2030.
The agreement provides for the exchange of experiences and collaboration in exhibition creation and research. The agreement was signed at our office – Anna Timmerman signed on behalf of the Queer Museum Foundation, and Krzysztof Kliszczyński signed on behalf of the QueerMuzeum Warszawa.
We are very pleased with this agreement, knowing how important collaboration between queer museums and archives is. By December 2025, the Queer Museum Foundation has signed partnership agreements with nineteen museums, archives, and organizations in the Netherlands: Rijksmuseum, Purmerends Museum, Museum Arnhem, H’Art Museum/de Nieuwe Kerk, Amsterdam City Archive, National Archive, Beeld en Geluid, House of HiV LGBTIQ+, COC Netherlands, Erwin Olaf Foundation, Homomonument, Roze Filmdagen, HiV Association, Hello Gorgeous, Trut, Rainbow Canon, Winq, Hivos, Pride Photo Award, and Trans United. We are the first foreign institution to sign an agreement with a future Dutch queer museum.
